Example Data
This sample database represents a small subset of the actual database, which contains individual-based life history data that have been collected from wild primate populations by eight working group participants/organizations over a minimum of 24 years. We present the sample database to illustrate how we implemented our common vocabulary and to provide examples of particular decisions in different life histories. Although the database was designed to allow us to carry out comparative life history analyses, the database structure can be generalized for a wide range of uses. Records in the database include mortality and fertility schedules across multiple primate taxa. The data are searchable and can be downloaded into csv format. However, we do not authorize the use of this small sample for actual analyses of primate life histories.
